Convenient Opportunities

Many things we think of as inconvenient truths — climate change, energy waste, pollution, under-educated children, existing water law — are also hidden (and convenient) opportunities.

Deeply embedded, long-standing economic and societal problems create huge pent up demand for solutions. They also create opportunities for innovators to supply those solutions.

These deeply embedded problems often share a common theme: something fundamentally broken in the way the participants in these systems interact — the “transaction structure.” That broken structure prevents the connection between the pent up supply and the pent up demand.

That broken structure is a Convenient Opportunity.

This site is under construction. As time allows, I’ll update the site with additional case studies.
